Tokyo 2010

This was the first in the series of The Spirit of Poland exhibitions.

The aim of the exhibition was to promote young, Polish brands from the sector of industrial design. The exhibition was part of Tokyo Designers Week 2010, the annual design event in Japan and one of the most prestigious in the world. Coordinators of the exhibition, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo and the Silesian Castle of Art and Enterprise in Cieszyn, through the presentation of Polish design, wished to promote the innovation and the initiative of the Polish companies. The design studios presented during the exhibition also participated in the EU Gateway Programme, an interior design business mission held by the European Commission. The event took place in days preceding Tokyo Designers Week.

The exhibition also featured the newest Polish multimedia art – the interactive Polish film Sufferrosa, directed by Dawid Marcinkowski.

The event was supported by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
